Responsibilities:
- Managing and improving the AOL Analytics Drupal website; developing/updating webforms, adding & updating Drupal modules, and managing site redesigns.
- Understanding the Tools & Application / Automation requirements of various functional teams, scoping out the project, developing robust & dynamic applications to cater to the requirements.
- Assist in all aspects of data management team with data insights & reporting needs, leveraging the Omniture raw data feed data tables & API.
- Supporting automation efforts developing front -end applications utilizing ODBC/ VBA / Perl/ Unix Shell Scripting.
- Responsible for working with DW on optimization of back end table design for better utilization with Tableau based reporting.
- Support the team with various adhoc data analysis requests as and when required.
- Establish solid working relationship with the stakeholders and become a close partner with respect to reporting, data and intelligence needs
- Effective communication between departments to ensure smooth interactions for data sharing & other business discussions.
- General administration of existing data models / reports / dashboards
Skills Required:
- Technical Skills
- Drupal and PHP (Mandatory)
- HTML, Java Scripting
- RDBMS & SQL
- Ability to comfortably Write / Run basic SQL Queries
- Statistical tools like SAS
- Perl, UNIX Shell scripting (perl/ shell scripting exp. is a must)
- Ability to create Oracle tables and UNIX Shell Scripting (or similar Scripting languages)
- VBA
- REST, SOAP, PYTHON, Hadoop Pig Scripts.
- XML, API utlilization
- Generic Skills :
- Ability to extract and manipulate data with a high degree of accuracy
- Report writing/communication. Ability and experience to present relevant data in a concise and suitable manner
- Used to working to tight deadlines
- Ability to multitask and keep up the rapid pace demanded in the Internet business environment
- Ability to work in a virtual team environment, with internal customers and other team members in US
Other skills Desired: Experience in data management & data warehouse operations. The resource needs to be comfortable with large data volumes. He/ she should be comfortable in interacting as well as coordinating with multiple functional teams.
